Tashkent Prepares to Hold Tourism Fair on Silk Road Soon
International Tourism Fair on Silk Road will be held in Tashkent in mid-October. Even though there is still a time to go until the event will officially take off, the active preparations are now underway in the city, the agencies reported.

This exhibition is the largest one in Central Asia. It is held in Tashkent since 1995. It is aimed at local and foreign business people. The forthcoming fair is to sum up the outcomes of the summer tourism season and expected to set the trends for the next one, conclude contracts, as well as advertise services of firms and companies.

If last year over 200 local and foreign tour companies from eighteen countries of the world took part at the fair then this year the organizers hope to exceed those results. Such countries as Latvia, Cyprus, Turkey, the Emirates, Malaysia, Vietnam, Russia, the Ukraine, Azerbaijan and many others are reported to have confirmed about their participation at this prestigious event.

The forthcoming exhibition will be dedicated to the 2200 anniversary of Tashkent to be marked next year in May in Uzbekistan, according to the reports.
