Day 1 - Ashgabat arrival Arrival in Ashgabat airport. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 - Ashgabat CSS Our morning excursion takes us to the Nisa Fortress (18 km from Ashgabat) and the National Museum of History and Ethnography (containing more than 327.000 objects). After lunch at a local restaurant we continue our excursion by a sightseeing tour of Ashgabat including the Tower of Neutrality, Ertogrulgazi Mosque, Independence and Neutrality monuments and Annau mosque. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 - Ashgabat - Geok Tepe horse farm – Ashgabat After breakfast drive to GeokDepe farm situated 45 km from Ashgabat. Area exploration. This option provides the possibility to see one of the best collections of Akhal Teke horses in Turkmenistan and take a ride on horseback as well. Here you can also have a look at a mini-carpet making factory, where one can see the exclusive Turkmen carpets making process, and the best samples of them, and for sure the stud farm itself with different ages forty two of Akhal Teke horses that brings 1% of the world Turkmen horse store. Lunch with national cuisine. PM back to Ashgabat. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 - Ashgabat – Mary - Merv – Train to Atamurat After a hotel breakfast we’ll set off to Mary (365 km from Ashgabat) via Abiverd ruins. According to Al Makdisi Abiverd (the ancient town site of Peshtak between the stations of Artyk and Kaahka) was richer and more fertile than Parthian Nissa. It's shakh-ristan was surrounded by the perimeter by the walls with rounded towers and the moat. A straight street connected the only town gates with the gates of the citadel. A monumental portal-and-dome mosque stood almost in the center /12th c.Main handicraft manufactures and bazaars were placed in a broad rabat. Reaching Mary we will have lunch at a local restaurant. PM visit Merv. Due to its size and historical importance, Ancient Merv is one of the most significant sites in Turkmenistan. Ancient Merv consists of a series of towns each succeeded by another throughout the course of history. We’ll see: Erk Kala (6c. BC) with its citadel, Gayur Kala (3d c. BC), Sultan Kala (8-11 c. AD), Abdullakhan Kala and Bairamalikhan Kala (15c. AD), Mausoleum of Sultan Sanj ar-the last ruler of a great Seljuk Empire (12 c. AD), Great Kala and Little Kyz Kala (6-7 c. AD), and the Mausoleum of Muhammed Ibn Zeid(12c. AD). Visit Museum of Local Lore. Dinner at a local restaurant. Later on catch an overnight train to Atamurat at 01:10. Overnight in train.

Day 5 - Atamurat – Koytendag (Kugitang area) Breakfast in train. Arrival in Atamurat at 12:30 PM. We’ll drive to Koytendag. Lunch. We’ll accommodate in host-family house – very basic facilities. Overnight.

Day 6 - Kugitang preserve After breakfast drive to Kugitang Mountainside to visit Dinosaur Plateau and other beutiful natural sites of Kugitang. The “Dinosuar Plateau” conserves about 200 clear footprints of dinosuaurs, which became extinct about 150 million years ago. After lunch at Hojapil village trek to picturesque place with 27 m watrefal in Umbardere canyon and visit to “Kyrk Gyz” – “Forty girls” cave. The “Kyrk Gyz” cave is a holyshrine where according to a local legend forty girls died, escaping the enemy. Afternoon return to Koyten. Dinner and overnight in host-family house.

Day 7 - Kugitang preserve After breakfast drive to Daray-Dere canyon.The Daray-dere canyon is another of numerous gorges of Kugitang mountains, where one can see an amazing mountain landscape with rich fauna and flora. The whole day trekking in the canyon. Picnic lunch. Afternoon return to Koiten village. Dinner. Overnight in host-family house.

Day 8 - Koytendag – Turkmenabat - Ashgabat After an early breakfast drive to Turkmenabat (450 km) via Kaynar-Baba lake with lunch boxes en route. The Kaynar-Baba lake is one of the nature wonders of Kugitang area. It has clean water which contains some minerals and considered to have the medical qualities. The lake located in a picturesque valley between mountains and lowlands of Gowurdak plateau. Picnic lunch en route. After lunch continue drive to Turkmenabad. Stop at Astanababa mausoleum (11-13 c) near Atamurat (Kerki) town. After sightseeing continue drive to Turkmenabat. Dinner. Then, we’ll catch an evening flight to Ashgabat at 23:10 PM. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 9 - Departure Transfer to airport for a fligth home.
